Kayla Murray-Reiser, 27, and Richard Reiser, 30, who are both residents in the Baltic section of Sprague were busted Thursday, May 3, after agents observed the two conducting activity consistent with that of illegal drug sales, the Connecticut State Police said.
Task force members approached the two in their parked vehicle at the I-395 Exit 24 commuter lot in Griswold and during a search uncovered 229 individual bags of fentanyl (52.7 grams) and $314 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales, state police said.
Further investigation revealed that Kayla Reiser was in possession of 47 Alprazolam pills and 17 Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine pills which were not prescribed to her.
She was taken into custody and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.
Richard Reiser was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Both were held on a $75,000 bond and appeared at Norwich Superior Court on May 4.
